Welcome to the official website of BuildwithBrittanyChicago! I am Brittany Kimble, a CPS Mom, attorney, nonprofit founder, mediator, and candidate for the Chicago Board of Education District 6B. I am running because our children deserve schools that are safe, transparent, accountable, and focused on student success. Parents deserve a meaningful voice. Educators deserve support. Taxpayers deserve responsible stewardship of public resources. As an attorney and advocate, I know how to ask difficult questions, solve complex problems, and fight for people who need a strong voice at the table. I will bring that same commitment to the Chicago Board of Education.
Attorney & Advocate
I am a mother, attorney, business owner, and community advocate. I earned Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice - Magna Cum Laude from Jackson State University and my Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law. I have operated my own law practice since 2010. Over the last 16 years, I have represented individuals and families in criminal defense, family law, education-related matters, contract negotiations, and real estate transactions.
My career has been centered on helping people navigate difficult situations and move forward when life has not gone according to plan.
I was also appointed by Governor JB Pritzker to serve as Chair of the Illinois Employment Security Board of Review. Whether in the courtroom, my business, or public service, my work has always focused on helping people find solutions and creating opportunities for a better future.
Nonprofit Founder
Founder and former Executive Director of Productive Citizens, NFP, focused on support, programming, volunteers, fundraising, and mental health resource recruitment for formerly incarcerated individuals.
Trained Problem-Solver
Completed Cook County-approved mediator training through the Center for Conflict Resolution and completed a Certified Financial Planner Capstone Course through Boston University.
